Bulk Matsukaze (松風) Matcha is Yamamasa Koyamaen's introductory ceremonial-grade matcha designed specifically for high-volume daily consumption—trusted by matcha cafés, tea practitioners, and daily drinkers who demand consistent quality at an economical price point. This bold, characterful matcha delivers a robust vegetal backbone balanced with toasted nutty notes reminiscent of roasted pumpkin seeds and a clean, lingering finish. With its strong structure that stands up beautifully in milk-based drinks while retaining depth when whisked traditionally, Matsukaze offers exceptional value for cafés serving multiple lattes daily or households consuming matcha every morning. The 500g and 1kg bulk formats ensure uninterrupted supply for professional operations and dedicated enthusiasts seeking the best cost-per-serving ratio without compromising on authentic Uji quality.

Why Bulk Matsukaze:

  • Café-Proven Daily Workhorse: Commonly used in café menus and matcha latte operations across Japan—delivers consistent performance through dozens of daily servings, maintaining flavor integrity in both hot and iced preparations that define successful commercial matcha programs.
  • Ideal for: Matcha café daily latte operations, tea ceremony schools requiring practice-grade volume, restaurants serving matcha beverages, households consuming matcha every morning, daily usucha practitioners seeking economical ceremonial quality, small food businesses creating matcha menu items, and anyone requiring uninterrupted supply of reliable, characterful matcha at sustainable pricing.
  • Bold Flavor That Cuts Through Milk: Strong vegetal character with moderate bitterness ensures matcha presence isn't lost when combined with dairy or plant-based milk—rounds out into pleasant seaweed-like tones with hints of roasted nuts, creating signature café-quality lattes customers return for.
  • Exceptional Cost-Performance: Positioned as entry point into Yamamasa's ceremonial lineup with surprising depth—bulk packaging dramatically reduces per-serving cost while maintaining proper ceremonial-grade quality, making daily matcha financially sustainable for both businesses and individuals.
  • Robust Nutty Character: Unique roasted pumpkin seed and dry hay notes with sweet wheatspike aroma—stronger body than light, grassy alternatives like Aoarashi, offering distinctive toasty-nutty profile that differentiates café offerings and appeals to customers seeking savory depth.
  • Versatile Dual-Purpose Application: Works beautifully as traditional usucha at lighter doses (2g) for morning tea ceremony practice, yet transforms into structured latte base at higher concentrations (4g)—single matcha handles both contemplative whisking and commercial beverage production.
  • Professional Volume Packaging: 500g and 1kg formats designed for matcha cafés, tea schools, restaurants, and serious daily practitioners—eliminates constant reordering, ensures consistent product across multiple weeks of operation, reduces packaging waste compared to small consumer tins.
  • Deep Pine Green Color: Fresh, dark green appearance (not as vivid as premium grades but authentic and appealing)—maintains attractive color in lattes and usucha preparations, delivering the visual appeal customers expect from quality matcha without ultra-premium pricing.
  • Smooth with Gentle Astringency: Signature Yamamasa astringency that gently lingers without overpowering—creates smooth, satisfying finish rather than harsh bitterness, making this approachable for beginners while offering enough complexity for experienced practitioners' daily rotation.
  • Yamamasa Koyamaen Heritage: From Yamamasa Koyamaen, established in early Edo period in Uji—trusted by Japanese tea schools for consistent quality, offering very high cost-performance (taste, color, aroma for same-price products) that built reputation among professionals.
